Statement on Ceasefire Amendment

The Race Equality Centre (TREC) is disappointed that the call for a ceasefire was

rejected by our political leaders on 15/11/23. We urge them to reconsider. It is difficult

for most if not all, to continually be witnessing the horrific and increasing death toll

currently in Gaza after the appalling events of October 7 th .

As an organisation TREC abhor the increasing acts of antisemitism and

islamophobia. We have worked with the victims of similar atrocities and wars which

seem to be on the increase throughout the world and therefore our thoughts are also

with those countries who are suffering similar fates but forgotten by the media.
