Community Development

The Race Equality Centre provides support and advice to groups and organisations from racial minority backgrounds, which is designed to enhance their ability to proactively participate in political, social and economic activities. 

 TREC's community development activities include work with established communities and with new arrivals. We also deliver targeted work with women and young people from racial minority communities, working to enhance leadership from within alienated communities. 

• Racial Minority Voluntary Sector Assembly

  Facilitate debates and promotes actions which addresses and/or influences structural improvements for racial minority communities. 

• Health Advocacy 

  Enhancing the capacity of community members to advocate for strategic improvement in health provision. 

• Voluntary Sector Groups 

  Supporting the development and maintenance of key voluntary sector groups addressing interest within racial minority communities.
