The Race Equality Centre pays tribute to our dear friend and colleague, Vinod Chudasama (14 April 1967 – 6 January 2021), whose dedication and service spanned decades and left a lasting legacy within our organisation and beyond.
Vinod’s involvement with The Race Equality Centre was both extensive and impactful. Over the years, he contributed across multiple roles, demonstrating unwavering commitment to supporting communities and driving meaningful change.

Vinod was widely respected for his calm and composed demeanour. He had a unique ability to de-escalate challenging situations, bring people together, and find practical solutions to overcome barriers.
His loyalty to The Race Equality Centre was unwavering. Even after stepping away from formal roles, he consistently returned to offer his support whenever it was needed—an enduring testament to his character and commitment.
It is with deep sadness that we acknowledge Vinod’s passing due to COVID-19. His loss is deeply felt across the organisation and by all who had the privilege of working alongside him.
Vinod will always be remembered for his kindness, dedication, and the positive impact he made on so many lives. His legacy will continue to inspire our work and values.
