Building on this success, TREC is now the accountable body for the Empower Biz Leicester programme under the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF).
As the coordinating agent, TREC is responsible for shaping the programme’s strategy and overseeing its implementation, including financial management, monitoring, and reporting.
Empower Biz Leicester is a comprehensive business support programme designed to empower and uplift Black-owned businesses that have been operating for more than 12 months.
The programme primarily supports individuals of African and African-Caribbean heritage, including those of mixed or dual heritage, both UK-born and internationally.
